Membership: Barb had designed a tri-fold brochure, which is in a PDF format. There are three categories of membership on the application. Barb had eliminated the category boxes after our last discussion about the form, but she would like to put them back. She wants to have a category for donating money for those who can't volunteer their time. It was suggested that the categories should say member, rather than staff. It was also suggested that we have the categories of Active member and Donor member.
Fundraising: Corinna suggested a monthly raffle at one of the businesses downtown. A product or gift basket would have to be donated and people could buy raffle tickets at some of the businesses.
Julie suggested a yard sale in late April or May. We may be able to use Greg's parents' house near Oakdale Rd. They have a garage where items could be stored and a driveway for the sale.

Julie has been starting to work on the forms required for JC Partners to apply for 501c3 status. She would like to have it completed by the end of March. It requires a one-time fee of $850 to file the Federal forms. Our income exceeded $5000 in the past year and we need to start filing income tax. This designation will give us more opportunities for donations and grants. Julie said that some members have offered private funds as a loan for the filing fee.
