Meeting called to order at 7:08PM by Donna
The minutes from the September 21, 2016 meeting were discussed. Unanimous approval with a few
Checking account: $ 4081.79
Park savings account: $5245.65
Revitalization savings: $211.78
Membership: Barb wants to put our name on our safety vests. She will have more information at a
future meeting. Regina also offered to help with this project.
Cruze-Inz: Corinna reported that the remaining funds in the Cruze-Inz budget is $613.37. These funds
can be used for 2017 Cruze-Inz. Julie and Corinna agreed on this amount.
Carousel Day: Corinna said that her contact at Family Enrichment Network did not get back to her
regarding Carousel Day. She did put something on our Facebook page explaining that a Chair is
needed to organize Carousel Day for 2017.
Gatherings at the Gazebo: There are groups booked for 5 of the 6 nights. Thursday and Saturday nights
in December with Dec. 22 being the last night. 6-7 PM in the Gazebo at Veterans Park.
Downtown Clean-up: We still have supplies at Save-a-Lot. Corinna will get the vests that are there.
Julie will collect vests and gloves at the next meeting. Corinna and Julie will contact the businesses
who adopted the flower boxes to ask them to remove them from the sidewalks for the winter months.
CFJ Park Project: Julie proposed that we purchase a Bumble Bee ride-on “toy” for the playground,
using the $1000 donation we received last year from Genevive. The total for the piece of equipment is
$1141.50, including shipping. We have money available from the grant money for the benches to
cover the additional cost. Corinna made a motion to purchase the Bumble Bee, Marcia seconded, Julie
abstained, motion carried. There are photos of the benches on Facebook and our website.
Julie got estimates for trees from Northern Scapes. We will talk further about the trees this winter and
decide which trees and how many we will plant in the Spring of 2017.
