Meeting called to order at 7:05PM by Julie Deemie, President
The minutes of the January 9, 2019 meeting were reviewed. Motion by Corinna to accept with corrections, seconded by Barb. Unanimous approval.
Treasurer's report: Checking account: $1484.11
Park Savings acct: 793.88
Revit. Savings acct: 103.42
Cruze-In: Corinna is working on a band for June. She is also continuing to work on getting sponsors.She will send members a copy of the letter for potential sponsors. Contact Corinna if you havesuggestions for sponsors. The deadline to provide a logo for Cruze-In advertising is April 15.
Sponsor categories: $500: Logo on poster, display a banner, table space at Cruze-Inz
250: Logo on poster, display a banner
100: Logo on poster
We will ask the food vendors to contribute 10% of their profits to Johnson City Partners Cruze-Inz. VFW and Legion will not be asked to contribute 10%.
Conflict of Interest forms: We all submitted our forms. Officers, Julie, Corinna, Marcia and Barb read their forms aloud.
Guest Speaker Series:
Feb 21 follow-up: the first speakers were Sharon Fischer and Laura Kelly from the Broome County Health Department regarding Tobacco Free Broome & Tioga. Only a few people attended, but the program was very well received.
The March 21 speakers series will be “Johnson City Grows On-Rebuilding a Square Deal Village”, presented by Mayor Greg Deemie and village grant writer Dai Korba.
Volunteer Appreciation Night:
The 2nd Annual Volunteer Appreciation Event will be Thursday April 11, 2019 at the Justice Building in the Court Room from 6-8PM. We will provide coffee and desserts. Julie designed flyers to be distributed to volunteers.
Website management: Jim Furman has agreed to help with the management of the JCP website. He said there is a $20 annual fee for the website. We agreed to reimburse him the $20/ year, starting this year.
Donna reported that Rotary asked if JCP is participating in Carousel Day July 20, 2019. We agreed to skip the Trackless Train this year and see if the crowds are enough to ask them next year. We will have brochures/info on a table and possibly a basket to raffle.
